Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of acupuncture and medicine combination on allergic rhinitis(AR) of lung-spleen deficiency and cold type. Methods: Two hundred patients with AR of lung-spleen deficiency and cold type who were treated in our hospital between August 2012 and Jan. 2014 were chosen as the research subjects,and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 120 and 80 cases respectively in each group. The ones in the control group were treated with Qi-nourishing and Yang-warming Decoction,while the ones in the observation group were added acupuncture therapy based on the treatment of the control group. Results: After the treatment,nasal congestion,runny nose,sneezing and nasal itching scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P < 0. 05). The effective rate of the control group was88. 75%,while that of the observation group was 95%; And the observation group was better than the control group(P < 0. 05).After 6 weeks of treatment,sleep,nasal symptoms,emotion and the total score improvement of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion: Acupuncture and medicine combination has a remarkable clinical curative effect on allergic rhinitis(AR) of lung-spleen deficiency and cold type.
