Abstract: The implementation of the “One Belt and One Road”strategy has created good political and economic conditions for overseas investment of Chinese enterprises .More and more energy-invested enterprises have begun to go overseas.While promoting the host country ’ s economic development , these enterprises have caused some damage to the local environment , which is not conducive to the overseas long-term development of China ’ s ener-gy investment enterprises .For the current environmental protection of overseas energy investment , China ’ s en-terprises bear theobligations from the domestic law , the host country ’ s environmental protection law and the in-ternational soft law with the normative role .The Chinese government must continue to strengthen legislation , com-ply with international treatiesand improve international energy cooperation with other countries .Enterprises should continue to improve theirenvironmental protection standards for overseas energy investment to seek a long -term development .
