Model and simulation of sea clutter echo power of the omnidirectional pulse laser fuze

Abstract: Sea clutter interference signal can be generated when omnidirectional pulse laser fuze is working at super-low-altitude over the sea,resulting in the increase of false alarming rate.To solve this problem,a sea clutter echo power model of omnidirectional pulse laser fuze is constructed.Based on laser scattering properties and fuze kinetic characteristics over the sea,a selfadaptive method is proposed for calculating wide beam pulse area.Simulation results show that the sea clutter echo power increases as wind speed and laser incident angle increase.Especially,the echo power for incident angle of 90°is as high as two times of the echo power for incident angle of 60°and three times of the echo power for incident angle of 45°.A useful method is provided for panoramic pulse laser fuze to survive from sea clutter interference.
