Abstract: Calcium binding tyrosine phosphorylation regulated(CABYR) gene is associated with calcium signaling pathways, which gene contains two coding regions, encoding a highly polymorphic protein.CABYR proteins localize to the principal piece of the human sperm flagellum in association with the fibrous sheath, which is closely related with capacitation of sperm as well as the formation of fibrous sheath of spermatozoon.CABYR protein with protein tyrosine kinases activity, high expressed in testicular tissue and a variety of tumor tissues, but no or low expression in normal tissues, which can induce specific humoral immune response. Thus,CABYR protein has been identified as a cancer/testis antigen in lung cancer which plays an important role in the proliferation, metastasis of tumor and the anti-tumor drug sensitivity.CABYR has the potential application value in tumor immunotherapy,anti-tumor drug screening and semen spot inspection in forensic science.
