Issue:13 Journal:Progress in Modern Biomedicine Keyword:Tumor microenvironment; Fibroblast activation proteinα(FAPα); Tumor immune suppression; Abstract:Fibroblast activation protein α(FAPα) is a transmembrane serine protease and highly expressed in tumor associated fibroblasts(TAF) in human epithelial tumors greater than 90 %.FAPα plays a very important role in the malignant progression of epithelial tumors. In recent years, the study has found that FAPα plays an important role in tumor microenvironment.Studying the role of FAPα in tumor suppression has become a new hot spot in tumor research.Based on FAPα as the target of anti-tumor immune therapy to provide the reference, the causes of tumor immune suppression, the research progress of FAPα and tumor immunosuppression and the role of FAP α in tumor progression are reviewed.
