Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effects of FOXR2 on proliferation of glioma cells. Methods The FOXR2 gene were cloned by PCR using c DNA of nontumorous tissue as template and constructed over-expression FOXR2 plasmid; Western blot assay was used to detect the levels of FOXR2 in glioma cell lines. We also constructed stable cell lines of down-regulation and overexpression FOXR2 using lentivirus vector system. CCK8 assay was used to assess the effects of FOXR2 on glioma cell proliferation. Results FOXR2 gene was cloned, and the stable glioma cell lines of down-regulation and over-expression FOXR2 were established successfully; The results of CCK8 assay showed that compared with control group, the cell proliferative rate decreased by 45. 13% in FOXR2down-regulation group, while, the cell number increased by 43. 98% in FOXR2 over-expression group. Conclusion FOXR2 could significantly promote the proliferation ability of glioma cells.
