Numerical simulation of temperature field of laser remelting ZrO2-8%Y2O3 coating on H13 die steel surface

Abstract: To study the influence of different overlapping ratio to the heat insulation performance of plasma sprayed ZrO2-8%Y2O3 coating on the H13 surface, a finite element model of analyzing the moving transient temperature field was established in view of the characters of multi-pass laser remelting. The model was established by using the ANSYS parametric design language and based on the temperature field model of single-pass laser remelting. Under the condition of the same laser power, scanning speed spot diameter and different lap ratio, the temperature field of the remelting process was analyzed and calculated. The analyzing results showed that reasonable choice of lap ratio let the molten condition of different scanning could be almost the same and the coating had good thermal stability.
