Abstract: New steel structure material was heat-treated with conventional annealing process, composite heat treatment process of homogenization treatment and spheroidizing annealing respectively. The results show that compared with the conventional annealing, composite heat treatment significantly refines material microstructure, makes carbides distributed in tiny particle, and drastically improves the mechanical properties and the corrosion resistance. The tensile strength, the yield strength and the break elongation at room temperature increase by 26.4%, 29.5%, 33.1% respectively, and the rate of mass loss after corrosion of 240 h in % sodium chloride solution decreases by 81.9%
