Abstract: The mechanisms of anode bubble breakdown theory model, anode interface model, the quantitative theory model, the discharge spark deposition model and micro bridge model were discussed. The micro-arc oxidation with hydrothermal treatment, alkali treatment, as well as a variety of technologies will become the future development trendency of micro-arc oxidation.
