Abstract: Using the dynamic game model, this paper analyzes the strategy choices of both sides of the Taiwan Straits regarding the "1992 Consensus"on the basis of the political and economic interests since the DPP came to power in 2016.The study finds that the DPP in Taiwan has achieved"comprehensive administration",but that with the development of the cross-strait relations firmly in the hands of mainland China, the Tsai Ing-wen administration must be truly dedicated to the welfare of the Taiwanese people and recognize the"1992 Consensus"if the DPP is to hold onto to its power in Taiwan. At present, the primary task for mainland China is to win the hearts and minds of the Taiwan people and consolidate the foundation of the "1992 Consensus"among the Taiwanese public. Moreover, mainland China should reaffirm the credible potential consequences of refusal to recognize the "1992 Consensus".
