Abstract: Objective: To analyze the relevant factor of perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis in 300 patients with urology, and to provide a reference for the rational use of antibiotics in clinic. Methods: 150 cases of discharged medical records were randomly selected from the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical college hospital from January to June in 2016 and the rationality of perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis was analyzed. Results: Of the 300 cases, there were 206 cases(68.67%) with perioperative prophylactic use of antibiotic, and the cases of rational antibiotic use was150(72.82%). The irrational antibiotic use included unreasonable selection of antibiotics, long course of treatment,no drugs for indication and so on. Conclusion: The perioperative prophylactic use of antibiotic in urology was still irrational, including high rate of drug use, irrational drug selection, too long medicine course, etc.. The perioperative prophylactic use of antibiotic still remains to be further standardized.
