Abstract: Objective: To investigate the antibacterial effects of Skullcap Capsule on multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii(MDR-AB). Methods: To do 193 strains of MDR-AB antibacterial experiment in vitro by using different concentrations of Skullcap Capsule: 42. 000 mg/m L,21. 000 mg/m L,10. 500 mg/m L,5. 250 mg/m L,2. 625 mg/m L,respectively. And determine the minimum inhibitory concentration according to observation by visual, precipitation or surface growth. Results: The minimum inhibitory concentration of Skullcap Capsules to 193 strains of MDR-AB was ranging between 2. 625 mg/m L and 42. 000 mg/m L. Furthermore, with the increase concentration of Skullcap Capsule,MDR-AB strains can be inhibited completely when it reached 42 mg/m L. Conclusion: Skullcap Capsules have great anti-bacteria activities to various parts of MDR-AB strains. This study can extent the medical researchers’ knowledge, diagnosis and treatment method to multi-drug resistance and broad Acinetobacter baumannii when clinical use.
