Abstract: Objective To investigate the CT appearances of cryptogenic organizing pneumonia(COP),and improve the understanding and diagnostic level of the disease. Methods The data of 20 cases of COP confirmed by clinical manifestations,CT and pathologic findings were collected. The pulmonary distribution of main signs in CT and their morphological features were analyzed. Results Consolidation shadow was seen in all the 20 cases, mainly distributed at subpleural and peribronchovascular areas.Of which, the margin of consolidation in five cases showed central arch depression appearing as scar-like contraction and lesion migration seen in four cases.Ground-glass opacity seen in 17 cases, mostly distributed in random, nodular shadows were noted in eight, all kinds of linear band-like shadows in 11 cases.Reversed halo sign was observed in five cases and gravel-road sign in one. Conclusion CT appearances of cryptogenic organizing pneumonia are characteristic, and its scan is of great value in the diagnosis of the disease.
