Through synchronic vocabulary comparison, this paper explored the diachronic changes of Dong-Tai nationality’s rice culture in the social development, and concluded that Li nationality retained homologous rice vocabulary with Dong-Tai nationality even though they became divided from the Baiyue people very early. This provides linguistic evidence for rice culture before division in the Baiyue Period,as well as presents the situation of rice agriculture of Li nationality after division.
