Abstract: A method for determination of trace iodine in acetic acid by direct injection standard addition method with organic sampling analysis system specially for inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)was introduced.Experimental results showed that the detection limit of this method was 0.17 μg/L and the relative standard deviation was less than 1.5%,recovery rate of 90% to 105%.The method is convenient and accurate, and can be used in the inspection and acceptance of acetic acid raw materials, and also can meet the control and detection requirements of production plants.
