Study on technology of loading catalyst on the surface of activated carbon ifber

Abstract: The main topic of this paper is the study on technology for catalyst loading on the surface of activated carbon fiber(ACF), which uses dipping method to adhere CuO and CeO2 to the surface of the ACF. Finally, the pa-per summarizes the loading capacity of the catalyst and discusses the efficient and simplicity of the dipping method which is used to adhere catalyst. The results show that: Using dipping method to adhere catalyst to the surface of ACF, is not only easy to operate, but also can be loaded quantitatively. The actual amount of catalyst attached on ACF should be about one third of the assuming completely adherent amount, and these two amounts have a good linear relationship. With the increase of concentration, the loading amount of catalysts is larger. We can see from the scanning images that the catalyst is loaded uniform, and most of them loaded on the surface of ACF.
