Abstract: Objective The present study aimed to determine the protective effect of resvertrol on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury(MI/RI). Method 40 male SD rats were randomly divided into four equal groups: NS + Sham,Res + Sham,NS + I/R,Res + I/R. The rats were treated with physiological saline(vehicle) or 75 mg/(kg·d) resveratrol intraperitoneally for 28 days. Then,I/R groups rats were subjected for 40 minutes of left anterior descending coronary artery occlusion followed by reperfusion 150 minutes,Sham groups rats were not ligatured. We tested levels of LDH、NO、SOD、MDA,expressing of Bcl-2/Bax. Results Compared with sham groups,I/R increased MDA and LDH levels and reduced SOD and NO levels(P ﹤0. 01). Resveratrol increased SOD and NO in I/R(P ﹤ 0. 01). Resveratrol also attenuated MDA and LDH levels in I/R(P﹤ 0. 05). Meanwhile,Resveratrol raised the expression of Bcl-2 but decreased the expression of Bax. Conclusion Resveratrol protectes against MI/RI by reducing oxidative stress and apoptosis.
