Abstract: This paper aims to analysis spatial aggregation of commercial sites in central city of Shanghai.The results show that: 1 In terms of spatial distance,all commercial sites present salient spatial aggregation features. The agglomeration degrees increase and then decrease with the increasing of distance. 2 The kernel density analysis shows that commercial sites aggregate in Middle-west of inner ring area while disperse outside inner ring area. Meanwhile a sizeable difference also reveals between Pudong and Puxi areas. 3 The spatial hot spots of commercial sites mainly concentrate inside inner ring road,while the spatial cold spots distribute evenly outside inner ring road area. Improvements on commercial structure and service quality should be made in cold spots with high density to turn them into new hot spots area.
