Experimental study on strength characteristics of the coastal soft soil and cement- soil

Abstract: Analyzed the engineering characteristic of soft soil,conduct cement- soil formula test on two typical soft soil,mud and silt clay,analyzed the impact of the curing age,cement dosage,powder spraying and plasma spray form and the nature of the soft soil on the strength of cement- soil. The study shows:( 1) The strength of cement- soil improves with the growth of the curing age,before the 28 d the strength grew rapidly and accounted for about 66% ~ 78% of the 90 d intensity,and 28 d later growth slowed; the relationship between strength and age can be expressed as logarithm.( 2) The strength of cement- soil increases with the increase of cement content,they are approximate linear relationship,the slope is between 0. 07 ~ 0. 10.( 3)The strength of powder spraying cement- soil is 12% ~ 36% higher than that of plasma spray. The cement mixing pile composite foundation is designed based on the test results.
