Abstract: Along with the development of fashion, folk culture and esthetics, a new decorative patterns emerged from the middle and late Ming Dynasty which was Xinyang(new patterns). It was started from the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, and continued to the reign of Tianqi and Chongzhen, and even the Qing Dynasty. The article discussed Xinyang based on the research of literature, the unearthed cultural relics and remained real objects.
