Study of Influence Factors on Silty Soil Embankment Slope Stability

Abstract: With silty soil embankment,study the effect of embankment slope height,gradient,cohesive force,internal friction angle,rebound modulus and dilative angle and other mechanics index on embank-ment slope safety stability coefficient by use of finite element shear strength reduction method,and give recommended value of mechanics index when analyzing embankment slope stability and reasonable height and gradient of embankment slope.The researches show that the height of silty soil embankment fill sub-grade is less than 8 m,the gradient less than 1∶1.25;when analyzing silty soil subgrade slope stability by use of finite element shear strength reduction method,as far as subgrade filling earth,the cohesive force is more than 25 kPa,inter frictional angle more than 15°,rebound modulus 10 000 kPa and dilative angle 0°.
