PDCA Mode Can Improve Quality of Nosocomial Infection Control in Neonatal Ward

Abstract: Objective:To explore the effectiveness of PDCA mode for quality control nosocomial infection in neonatal ward. Methods:From January 2014 to January 2015, PDCA mode was carried out in neonatal ward;air, items surfaces, disinfectant, baby bottles, pacifiers in neonatal ward and medical staff hands were sampled for biological culture, one month for a cycle.The cultivation results of 12 cycles after PDCA implementation were compared with those before PDCA implementation.Hygiene compliance rate of 40 medical staffs was analyzed at the same time.Results: Health indicators and hygiene compliance rate of medical staff were significantly higher while the incidence of nosocomial infection in neonatal ward was significantly lower after PDCA implementation than those before PDCA implementation( all P<0.05 ) .Conclusion: PDCA mode is of good efficacy in improving the quality of nosocomial infection control in neonatal ward.Thus, it is worthy of clinical promotion.
