Abstract: Objective To investigate the levels changes and its clinical significance of plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NTproBNP)in patients with primary aldosteronism. Methods In this study,we retrospective review40 patients with primary aldosteronism and 40 normal individuals from January,2015 to January,2016.We measured the level of plasma NT-proBNP in patients and the normal individuals. What is more,we also compared the levels change between the before and after operation. Results The levels of plasma NTproBNP were 55.21 pg/mL±21.32 pg/mL in patients,466.43 pg/mL±131.21 pg/mL in normal individuals, respectively(P <0.05).The levels of plasma NT-proBNP were 466.43 pg/mL±131.21 pg/mL,65.21 pg/mL±11.32 pg/mL before and after operation, respectively(P <0.05).Conclusion Elevated levels of plasma NT- proBNP in patients with primary aldosteronism will help evaluate the servility of the patients. What is more,NT-proBNP is easily to test, can be an hopeful index for primary aldosteronism. But the level of NT-proBNP can be affected by many factors. It will need more high quality studies.
