Abstract: In the traditional college English teaching, teachers play an important roles in imparting knowledge and leading teaching activities; students are always in a passive situation as passive recipients of knowledge. With the arrival of information age,universal education, perfect education and life-long education have become the mainstream of education. In the new era of knowledge economy, the ways that students acquire knowledge, gaining learning resources become more broad; the ways that transform the interaction between teachers and students change the college English teaching mode. This paper will discuss the present situation of micro video application, analyze the existing problems, improve the micro video application in college English teaching and put forward appropriate suggestions in order to provide the new ideas to the innovation of English teaching mode in college.
