Abstract: Objective To evaluate pharmacokinetics(PK) and pharmacodynamics(PD) biological rhythm in the ICU patients with continuous infusion of propofol.Methods 22 patients were studied.While their blood samples were taken after,record the value of electroencephalogram(eeg) dual frequency index (BIS), arterial blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and temperature,use the double chamber model to describe propofol pharmacokinetics characteristics by double chamber model.Results The central and peripheral distribution volume is VC=27.7 L,VT=801 L and the Clearance between chambers is CLD=2.73 L/min.Studies on pharmacokinetics showed that propofol has no obvious biological rhythmicity. And within the BIS scoring,obvious biological rhythmicity was not observed.Conclusion Circadian rhythms affect neither the ICU patients on propofol pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and nor the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation. But circadian rhythms affects heart rate and body temperature.
