The Application of Accumulated Linearity Method on How to Determine the Jig Shape of High Aspect Ratio Flexible Wing

Abstract: Face to the problem of geometry large deformation caused by aerodynamic load of high aspect ratio flexible w ing,it w as not suitable to analyze and optimize the w ing structure based on the assumption of small and linear deformation. Therefore,the authors applied the‘Accumulated Linearity M ethod’( ALM) as an approach to build and solve the flexible w ing structure model. The steps w ere as follow ed:Firstly,utilizing ‘one time linear analysis’ to acquire the initial( approximate)w ing jig-shape by dow n-loading on the cruise-shape w ing;Nextly,according to the principle of the ALM,the authors constructed the structure model of high aspect ratio flexible w ing and utilized the coordinates’ difference to form the updated format,in w hich came from the aerodynamic load before and after acting on the w ing structure;Finally,the authors put aerodynamic load,cruise configuration and jig shape of this flexible w ing together to form the criterion of convergence,and applied the ALM to deal w ith this issue w ith an initial w ing jig shape as the first approximation. Numerical simulation and results analysis expressed that the proposed approach w as not only feasible but also effective. Finally,the corresponded conclusions w ere obtained and these also provided a new w ay for geometry non-linear structure analysis and synthesis.
