Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To investigate the application of antibiotics in 540 non-surgical patients in Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University ( hereinafter referred to as “our hospital”) .METHODS: 20 non-surgical medical records each were monthly extracted, among which 15 were collected, and analysis was conducted on the application of antibiotics.RESULTS:540 medical records were analyzed during 3 years, including 26 departments and 25 kinds of antibiotics;and cephalosporins antibiotics took the lead, Antibiotics ranked by frequency of usage were respectively cefotaxime sodium, piperacillin and tazobactam sodium, latamoxef sodium, cefoperazone and tazobactam sodium, etc..Of the 225 patients with antibiotics, the number of cases with single medication took the lead, accounting for 69.33%(156/225) , and 63 cases were two-drug combination, 6 were three-drug combination.CONCLUSIONS:The application of antibiotics in our hospital accords with the standard, yet still has some problems.It is necessary to strengthen the training for clinical medical staff about the rational application of antibiotics and some other aspects and strengthen the inspection of the pathogen, so as to promote the rational application of antibiotics and prevent and delay the producing of clinical drug resistant bacteria.
