Rural Residents’ Willingness of Urbanization and its Causes under the Perspective of Social Stratification-Survey Based on X District in Southern Anhui

Abstract: It’s discovered that rural residents who belong to different social stratums have rather distinct differences through the investigation on urbanization willingness of rural residents in the district of southern Anhui. In terms of the scores of urbanization willingness, urbanization willingness standard of peasant intellectuals stratum and peasant workers are relatively high, but agricultural laborer stratum and private entrepreneur stratum lower. Therefore, development strategies which aim at advance urbanization have been proposed as follows: fully consider realistic requirements of all the social stratums of rural residents, and establish mechanism of new-type urbanization which is suitable for local conditions.
