Methods: Sixty patients with facial seborrheic dermatitis were included and randomly divided into treatment group and control group, and with 30 cases in each group. Patients in treatment group were treated with combination of cold spray of TCM and red-blue light, and patients in control group were treated with red-blue light, both of the treatments were lasted for 2 weeks. Skin lesion, scores of erythema, scale, and pruritus, and untoward effects of patients before and after treatment were observed and compared. Results: The total curative effect of treatment group(73.3%) was superior to that of control group(46.7%), and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01). After treatment, the observational indexes of patients in treatment group were superior to those of control group except skin lesion(P<0.05). The untoward effects of treatment group was lower than that of control group(P<0.01). Conclusion: Combination of cold spray of TCM and red-blue light is safe and effective in treating facial seborrheic dermatitis, and the curative effect is better than red-blue light alone.
