Abstract: This paper evaluated the habitat degradation degree in three different landforms of low hill, karst ridge-trough and medium-high mountain-gorge using the InVEST habitat quality model based on the data of land use in 2012 . The results showed that cultivated land and forest land were the dominant land use types in three different landforms. The area of grassland, industrial and mining land, rural settlement and water body were relatively small. Average habitat degradation degree was low hill>karst ridge-trough>medium-high mountain-gorge. The high value and low value of habitat degradation degree in low hill were distributed in valleyof mid-east part and mountain area of west part, respectively. The high value and low value of habitat degradation degree in karst ridge-trough were located in the bottom of ridge-trough of south-central part and both sides of ridge-trough, respectively. The high value and low value of habitat degradation degree in medium-high mountain-gorge were located in the bottom of gorgeof north-central part and mountain area on both sides of gorge, respectively. Average habitat degradation degree declined with the increase of slope. There were great differences of average habitat degradation degree for three landforms in each slope level.
