Monitoring of oil-immersed power transformer winding temperature field based on FBG sensing

Abstract: The online real-time monitoring of the transformer winding hot spot temperature on the safe operation and working life of the transformer is important.By ANSYS finite element analysis,the temperature range and hot spot location of winding are simulated.FBG sensor to make a PTEE as the floor by interturn shim is mounted on hot spot location of winding.By narrowband filtering reflection grating and the demodulation fitting optical wavelength,hot temperatures are calculated by mathematial models.Collecting data show that the measured winding hot spot temperature is 143.2℃,and comparison with simulation results 333.4K,winding hot spot temperature can be reflected online timely,and the important reference data are provided for safe operation of the transformer.
