Abstract: Taking the coal No.9 in east limb of Panji No.3 coalmine, Huainan Mining Group as the subject investigated, based on previ?ous geological exploration, mine production information, using Surpac Vision established mine area geological database, as well as mine area bedrock surface, coal floor surface digital terrain models, fault and orebody 3D models. The orebody model has extensively unfolded spatial distribution pattern of coal No.9:buried depth is gradually shallower from north to south, overall strike NWW-SEE, dip angle 8o~10o and locally mineable. Sections on the model have shown that the model section structure basically accord with coal No.9 configuration. The case has indicated that the 3D geological modeling and application of visualization technology are conductive to improve management level of mine resources overall merit, mining engineering optimization, mine safety in production.
