Abstract: As the pilot project province of the opening and developing borders and the cross- border RMB settlement,based on the long- term economic and trade relationship among Yunnan and its neighboring counties,Yunnan has been gradually formed a exchange market for RMB and neighboring countries currency,which not only include inter- bank market,bank counter market and licensed exchange agencies market,but also include the folk market participated by folk money changer. After analyzing the foundation,opportunities and challenges of constructing China- ASEAN foreign exchange market in Yunnan,the paper suggest that Yunnan should integrated into the national strategy on the one hand,and on the other hand,in the reform and exploration of the cross- border finance,frontier finance and local finance,Yunnan should improve the finance fundamental condition,and lay a solid foundations for constructing the China- ASEAN regional foreign exchange market.
