Abstract: In modern time, we all want a quiet life. But the marine steering system produce great noise, which affect the crew life seriously. Because of that, a new low noise steering system is put forward, which adopts the direct drive electro-hydraulic servo system architecture. Aiming at reducing the system noise, low noise components are chosen. The main noise source of whole system is fluid noise. So, in view of the fluid impulsive noise, simulation analysis is carried out. Finally, based on the simulation analysis, the noise reduction design suggestions are given.
