Abstract: Hearing aid techniques consist of air conduction and bone conduction in terms of sound transmission pathway. On the bone conduction, the sound signal vibrating the skull and transmitting it into the inner ear directly rather than by the outer and middle ear sequentially. By the bone conduction-hearing mechanism, ambient noise interference can be effectively prevented, so that the bone conduction technology is an alternative hearing aid modality for hearing-impaired subjects. This paper mainly reviewed updating research of bone conduction on hearing aid techniques, core algorithm development and clinical application, which aims to enhance the development of bone conduction technology and to promote its clinical application.
