BEFORE-FORGING HEATING PROCESS RESEARCH FOR H.S.S.INGOT

Abstract: The heating quality of H.S.S.ingot before forging is very important to the following forging process, the heating process for M42 H.S.S.is researched.The most ideal before-forging heating process is got from:calculating in theory the grain boundary melting temperature and deforming heating temperature for M42 steel, designing test plan combined the production experience, heating the samples under different heating processes, and then viewing and analyzing the heated structure.It is showed from the research that the best high-temperature holding section heating process for M42 ingot is 1 150 ℃×5 h.This conclusion can offer a reference for actual production.
