Abstract: The standard strategy in preventing the recurrence of the ischemic event after interventional treatment for ischemic stroke is dual antiplatelet therapy with clopidogrel plus aspirin. However, some patients still have clo —pidogrel and aspirin resistance. Many factors can affect clopidogrel and aspirin resistance, such as the patient’s compliance, dose genetic factors and so on.The related researches on genetic factors have been reported. The drug dosing guidelines of CYP2C19 gene polymorphism have been released, but the correlation of ABCB1 gene with resistances has not reached a consistent conclusion. This article summarizes the relationship of ABCB1 gene polymorphism and methyl—ation with clopidogrel and aspirin resistance, including the concept of clopidogrel and aspirin resistance, the association of ABCB1 gene polymorphisms with two drugs resistances and the impact of ABCB1 gene promoter methylation on drug resistance.
