Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome (polycystic ovarian syndrome, PCOS) in women of childbearing age is the most common endocrine disorder, and is one of the direct causes of menstrual disorders, infertility and so on, its etiology is still not certain. Because of the cause of PCOS is unclear and clinical heterogeneity, its diagnostic criteria and treatment is still the emphasis and difficulty in clinical work. Based on China's "polycystic ovary syndrome diagnostic criteria"(2011), the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH), Rotterdam (1990), the American Society of Androgen Excess (AES, 2003) PCOS diagnostic criteria 2006, and the Endocrine Society (TES,2013) guidelines review of PCOS, this manuscript tried to understand the diagnosis and treatment of the similarities and differences, advantages and disadvantages and applicable standards and recommended treatment crowd, to further strengthen PCOS diagnostic level.
