Control Strategy of Permanent Magnet Direct-Driven Wind Generation System Based on Hybrid Clamp Dual PWN Rectifier

Abstract: For the high power dual three-level permanent magnet direct-driven wind generation system,a novel hybrid clamped three-level inverter topology is adopted and its operational principle is analyzed. The impact characteristics of 64 voltage space vectors on the neutral point potential and the clamping capacitor voltage are analyzed respectively in the cases of feed-in and feed-out state to achieve the neutral point potential balance control strategy. On the basis of the clamping capacitor’s charging and discharging circuits,different level state switching methods are used to control the clamping capacitor voltage balance in the case of feed-in and feed-out states. Based on the mathematical model of the permanent magnet synchronous generator( PMSG) and the hybrid clamped converter,the separation control strategies of the converter by the machine side and the grid-side converter are proposed respectively. The simulation model is built based on Matlab / Simulink. The control strategy is verified to be correct and have good static and dynamic properties.
