Abstract: The concept of distributed leadership has been a focus of attention since it first appeared. A series of new progresses have been made in the development of distributed leadership. In theory, a situated leadership perspective has been proposed for distributed leadership, some key elements for successful distributed leadership have been extracted, and alternative methodologies also have been discussed. Most importantly, an Action Self Enabling Reflective Tool for distributed leadership practice has been developed in the"Leadership for Excellence in Learning and Teaching Program".
