Abstract: By using Ti-6Al-4V ELI large size bar, a large joint die forging for civil aircraft has been trial-manufac-tured by means of multiple blanking and forging. By adopting β annealing heat treatment process, a uniform widmanstatten microstructure has been obtained in this forging as well as the finer lamellar microstructure in the crystal and the better mechanical properties.
