Digital Image Denoising Technology and Its Applications and Limitations in PET Image Processing

Abstract: Objective: After the brief review of digital image processing and analysis, limitations and solutions of digital image denoising technology in medical field were addressed. Methods: Different medical imaging machines use the same digital image processing methods, so optimal image quality could not be obtained. Results: For CT, MRI, and PET, different methods should be applied. Conclusions: It is necessary to accordding to the actual needs and the imaging characteristics of clinical work, design the plan of digital image processing procedure, so the optimal results could be acquired.
