Abstract: To The Lighthouse is an autobiographical novel written by Virginia Woolf, a famous British female writer. Through describing the antagonism and Integration between Mr. Ramsay, with male temperament and Mrs. Ramsay, with female temperament, the novel embodies the thought of androgyny. Woolf thinks male temperament and female temperament is not antagonistic, but existing harmoni?ously. This thought which is developed from opposition into integration is influenced by her family, the Bloomsbury group and women's liberation movement.
