Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of dual channel percutaneous nephrolithotomy on renal hemodynamics. Methods Fifty-five patients with kidney stones underwent dual channel percutaneous nephrolithotomy.Among them, dual channel percutaneous nephrolithotomy was performed in same renal segment in 22 (group A),and in different renal segments in 23 (group B).The peak systolic velocity (Vmax),systolic/diastolic velocity ratio (S/D)and resistance index (RI)of renal aorta, intersegment artery and interlobar artery were measured by color Doppler flow imaging before operation and 1 and 3 months after operation. Results There were no signifi-cant differences in Vmax,S/D and RI of renal aorta, intersegment artery and interlobar artery be-tween ipsilateral and contralateral kidneys before operation (P >0.05).In addition,no obvious changes in these parameters were found 1 and 3 months after operation in both groups (P >0.05).Conclusion Dual channel percutaneous nephrolithotomy has no effect on renal hemody-namics 1 and 3 months after operation.
