Abstract: Objective:To study the clinical effect of PCT in exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods:62 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were selected. They were randomly divided into the two groups. The observation group used antibiotics according to the results of PCT detection, while the conventional group used antibiotics according to clinical experience. We compared the related indicators of the two groups. Results:The use time and cost of antibiotics, hospitalization time and cost, incidence rate of infection and recurrence rate after 6 months of follow up of the patients in the observation group were lower than those of the conventional group;the effective rate of treatment was higher than that of the conventional group;compared with the conventional group, the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:PCT detection in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can provide guidance for the use of antibiotics in clinical treatment,to promote the rationality of clinical medication, improve the treatment effect, reduce the recurrence rate.
