Experimental study on characteristics of large mode area double cladding fiber laser

Abstract: Based on the large mode area double cladding Er3 +/Yb3 + co-doped fiber and P-F cavity structure,the in-fluences of the operating temperature and fiber bending on the pumping absorption and laser output properties were studied in detail.The results show that the mode of output spectrum gradually increases with the increase of pumping power;the operating temperature of the pumping source determines the output spectrum characteristics and influences the output properties of the fiber laser;different fiber laser modes correspond to different fiber bending loss.The multi-mode output turns into the single mode output when the bending radius reduces to a certain extent,and the quality of output beam is improved.
