Abstract: In view of the optimal problem that the particle group algorithm is impossible to solve the mixed discrete variable,the paper takes the combined section beam of the bridge crane as the study object,puts forward a constraint parti-cle group algorithm combining the continual variable with discrete variable.Different from the round integral value variables of the traditional discrete particle group algorithm,the algorithm in the paper classifies the design variables into continual variable,regular variable and special discrete variable.Traditional,rounding,and random step speed improved measures are taken respectively so that the particle group can move in and out of the feasible domain,to gradually approach the opti-mal point,which can solve the girder optimal problem in the combined section beam of the bridge crane and give a feasible improved particle group algorithm for certain special types of optimal problem combining the continual variable with discrete variable.
