Abstract: As the only existing yamun,Yexian Yamun is the specimen of county-level yamuns of Ming Dynasty. Its layout and architectural details reflect the hierarchy of Ming Dynasty.At that time with all kinds of perfect systems,Yamun becomes the static condensation of the grassroots power operation,which reflects daily process of the county power operation in Ming Dynasty.The settings and couplets of Xushoutang and Sibuzhai embody the consistent pursuit as well as the political expectations for the sage-ruling in Chinese traditional society.
