Abstract: Objective To investigate the correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods Clinical data of 200 cases of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and 170 nomal cases from January 2014 to June2015 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results The HP-positive rate in T2 DM group was significantly higher than that in the control group. Further studies indicated that patients with gastroparesis had greater positive rate of HP infection. The comparison were statistically significant(p<0.05). Conclusion Helicobacter pylori can significantly increase the incidence of elderly patients with type 2diabetes in gastroparesis.
