Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with infrared irradiation in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods: 90 cases of lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into the drug group and acupuncture group.The clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with infrared irradiation in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation were evaluated by the standard of curative effect and symptoms score. Results: The effective rate of acupuncture combined with infrared irradiation in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation was 62.2%, which was significantly higher than that of the medicine group(26.7%, P<0.05). The clinical symptom scores of acupuncture group also improved more significantly than those of the drug group(P<0.01). Conclusions:Acupuncture combined with infrared irradiation had better clinical efficacy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, it was worthy of the clinical promotion.
